Executive Coaching

Modern leadership requires leaders to be self-aware - to know themselves, their strengths, challenges or blind spots, communication style, conflict issues, feedback styles, and more.

Knowing and understanding yourself first is the most impactful way to know yourself as a leader. And the most effective, accurate, and insightful way to know yourself is by understanding your Enneagram type.

Your Enneagram type can illuminate:

  • the motivations, or reasons, behind all of your actions,

  • your strengths, challenges, & emotional drivers,

  • how you communicate,

  • what causes you conflict,

  • unknown and unhelpful patterns, habits, and reactions,

  • the ways you relate to others, and

  • your specific path for personal and professional development.

When you know your Enneagram type, you understand yourself exponentially better - becoming more self-aware, more proactive in your personal and professional growth, and able to make meaningful decisions and changes that will transform your life, employees, team dynamics, company culture, work satisfaction, and your organization as a whole.

Your Enneagram type impacts every aspect of your leadership. Knowing your type is the difference between ease and frustration, connection and conflict, growth and stagnation, effective leadership and toxic pressure.

Because each Enneagram type is so different, what works for one leader might not work for you.

for example, take these three leaders…

Three Leaders, Three Ways to Coach

  • Type Three

Type Three leaders are efficient, productive, and as successful as possible, reaching goals quickly, and accomplishing a great deal.

But, these great leadership qualities can be overused, causing Threes to overwork, push aside feelings and friends, have no work/life balance, and exhaust themselves and their employees.

When coaching a Three, we help them understand how to leverage their natural leadership skills while creating balance, connecting with employees, and taking breaks so they can be successful and accomplish their goals without exhaustion, frustration, and overworking.

  • Type Eight

Type Eight leaders are hard-working, big-picture thinkers, decisive, confident in conflict, and tackle tough challenges.

But, these great leadership qualities can be overused, causing Eights to apply too much pressure, lack diplomacy, be impatient with details, and over-control employees and their work.

When coaching an Eight, we help them understand how to leverage their natural leadership skills while developing patience, asking for feedback, thinking things through, and trusting their employees to do their work well so they can take. on big visions and challenges without taking all the control, feeling impatient, and creating unnecessary or harmful conflict.

  • Type Nine

Type Nine leaders are consensus builders, democratic and diplomatic, supportive of others, and easy-going.

But, these great leadership qualities can be overused, causing Nines to be indecisive, avoid conflict when necessary and helpful, and stop the group momentum when 100% consensus isn’t possible or needed.

When coaching a Nine, we help them understand how to leverage their natural leadership skills while being decisive, speaking up for their agenda, and moving forward even if it causes conflict (and how to handle it effectively) without indecision, disharmony, or stagnation.

Every leader possesses innate, natural skills and hopefully has learned a few more on the way to their leadership position. But, again, what works for one leader might not work for another.

Executive coaching should not be one-size-fits-all.

Our Enneagram-based leadership coaching succinctly and effectively shows you exactly where you are in your current leadership, helps you know and define your next-level goals, and creates the right path for you, your leadership, and your type.
